Casino Guru Awards 2027 To Open Nominations On 15 October

The Casino Guru Awards 2027 will officially open for nominations on 15 October, marking the fifth edition of the industry awards programme.

Organised by Casino Guru, the awards recognise companies, initiatives and individuals across areas including player protection, responsible gambling, complaint handling, transparency, social responsibility, leadership and innovation.

Full details of the 2027 categories, nomination process and key dates are expected to be announced following the launch.

Awards Build On 2026 Growth

The Casino Guru Awards were established to recognise industry achievements based on their impact on players, industry standards and the wider gambling environment, rather than focusing primarily on company size or revenue.

The 2027 launch follows an increase in participation during the previous edition, when total nominations rose by approximately one-third compared with the previous year.

More than 150,000 votes were recorded across the Players’ Choice and Voice of the People categories, while nearly 150 iGaming professionals attended the Casino Guru Awards ceremony at The Xara Lodge in Malta.

New categories introduced for the 2026 edition also attracted increased participation.

Player Protection To Receive Greater Focus

Casino Guru said the fifth edition will place an increased emphasis on recognising work relating to player protection.

The organiser is also developing a new project outside the existing awards category structure, with further details yet to be announced.

Daniela Sliva, PR & Creative Project Director at Casino Guru and leader of the Casino Guru Awards project, said:

“We have seen participation grow, we have seen new categories receive a very strong response, and we have seen how much interest there is in recognizing work that genuinely improves the industry.

“This year, we want to build on that. Player protection is one area where we believe even more good work deserves recognition, but we have been developing something else as well. We are keeping that part to ourselves for a little longer.”
