Robinhood Expands Prediction Markets Through Crypto.com And OG.com Partnership

Robinhood Markets has expanded its prediction markets business through a new partnership with Crypto.com and derivatives platform OG.com, adding another trading venue to its growing event-contract operation.

Under the agreement, Robinhood will route a portion of its football prediction contracts through OG.com's derivatives exchange and clearinghouse, which is regulated by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The first contracts are expected to become available ahead of the new professional football season.

OG.com will join Kalshi, ForecastEX and Rothera among the venues used to handle Robinhood event contracts, with the company routing contracts between exchanges according to factors including availability.

Robinhood To Take Stakes In Crypto.com And OG.com

The agreement will also see Robinhood receive equity stakes in both Crypto.com and OG.com. The investments will be priced in line with Citadel Securities' recent investment in Crypto.com Group, which valued the business at $20 billion.

OG.com, which is being spun off as an independent trading platform, is valued at $5 billion under the agreement.

JB Mackenzie, Vice President and General Manager of Futures and Prediction Markets at Robinhood, said using multiple exchanges would provide additional infrastructure for the company's expanding event-contract business.

“Routing event contracts to multiple venues helps create a stronger, more diverse and resilient marketplace,” Mackenzie said.

The partnership comes amid significant growth in prediction market activity at Robinhood. Customers traded a record 13.6 billion event contracts during the second quarter of 2026, generating $156 million in revenue from the products.

More than five billion contracts were traded during the FIFA World Cup alone, while Robinhood said customers have traded more than 45 billion prediction market contracts since the product launched approximately two years ago. More than 30 billion contracts were traded during the first eight months of 2026.

Robinhood Expands Prediction Market Offering

Robinhood is continuing to broaden its prediction market product with live data and a dedicated hub for football-related contracts.

The company is also preparing a separate prediction markets hub covering the 2026 US midterm elections, including state and federal races. Some of those contracts could also be routed through Crypto.com and OG.com under the new agreement.

Prediction markets allow customers to trade contracts based on the outcome of sporting, political, economic and other events. The sector has grown rapidly in the US but continues to face debate over the distinction between federally regulated event contracts and traditional gambling products, particularly sports betting.

Regulatory scrutiny has also increased as trading volumes have grown, including concerns surrounding the potential use of insider information in event-contract markets.

The latest partnership further expands Robinhood's prediction market infrastructure as the vertical becomes an increasingly significant contributor to the company's trading activity and revenue.
