Maine Casinos Report $15.6m in Gambling Revenue for July
Strong performances at Hollywood Casino Bangor and Oxford Casino drive a month-on-month revenue recovery across the state's commercial gaming properties.
Maine’s two land-based casinos generated $15.6m in revenue during July, up 3.5% year-on-year, according to figures from the Maine Gambling Control Unit.
Slot machines remained the main driver, generating $13.6m, an increase of 7.1% compared with July 2025. Table games, meanwhile, fell 16.5% to $1.9m.
Oxford Casino Leads Market
Oxford Casino generated $9.6m in July revenue, up 5.7% year-on-year.
Slot revenue increased 10.9% to $8.6m, more than offsetting a 23.4% decline in table game revenue, which fell to $1.1m.
Hollywood Casino Holds Steady
Hollywood Casino in Bangor recorded $5.9m in revenue, broadly in line with the previous year.
Slots generated $5m, up 1.3%, while table games declined 6.4% to $870,071.
Together, Oxford Casino and Hollywood Casino make up Maine’s regulated land-based commercial casino market.
Online Market Continues to Develop
Maine’s regulated online gaming market is also progressing, with the Gambling Control Unit overseeing operators, suppliers and other participants.
Caesars Entertainment has announced an expanded agreement with three Wabanaki Nations covering a potential online casino launch in the state. The planned 2026 launch remains subject to regulatory approval.
Maine has also tightened its approach to unlicensed gambling, with legislation banning online sweepstakes games coming into effect on 29 July.
